He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold M. Howard and Lutisha Marshall Howard; his wife Katherine Howard; his son Darren Len Howard; and his siblings, Harold Mitchell Howard, Jr., John Wesley Howard, Joyce Howard Browne and Margie Howard Ritter.
He is survived by: his sons, David Lee Howard Jr. (Maireen Malaluan) of Hollywood, MD and Daniel Lawrence Howard (Pamela) of Weems, VA; his brothers, Norris C. Howard (Barbara) of Eden and Charles M. Howard (Linda) of Pueblo West, Colorado; his grandchildren, Cory David Howard, Cassady Lynn Howard, Dalton Howard and Katie Howard; his great grandchild Nora Joy MacPherson; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Browne of Mt. Airey, MD, Mark Ritter of Felton Delaware and Carolyn Hodges of Modestown, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
