We are sad to announce that on October 13, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Loraine Blount Carey of Waldorf, Maryland, born in Smithfield, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Marcus B. Blount and Lelia J. Blount; and her husband William P. Carey. She is survived by : her daughter Kimberly C. Williams; her granddaughters, Maya Loraine Williams and Briar Naeve Carey; her siblings, Harriet Yvonne Carter and Marcus Bethney Blount II (Brenda); her nephews, Marcus Wade Blount (Tanya) and Lawrence Quincy Marshall (Amy); and her great-nephew Jared Leo Blount.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the National Science Foundation.
