He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward W. Dorsey and Elizabeth Dorsey; his wife Grace E. Dorsey; his child Donnie Lee Dorsey; and his grandchild Darby.

He is survived by : his children, Thomas N. Dorsey, Sr. and Charles Edward Dorsey. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
