He is survived by: his children, Glenn Gates of Parker, CO and Melodee Sidebottom of Parker, CO; his siblings, Larry Gates of Athens, TX and Gloria Gates of Augusta; and his grandchildren, Crystal, Amber Gates and Kelsee Sidebottom. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
