She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Oakes and Leanna Oakes (Daigle); her former husband Charles A. LaPlante; and her brother Roger Oakes. She is survived by: her husband Charlie; her sons, Tony LaPlante (Lisa Newell) of Augusta and John O. LaPlante (Karen) of Augusta; her sister Joanne Villella of Phoenix, AZ; and her granddaughters, Kate Greaton (Tali), Abigail and Erica. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
