He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Muncey and Josephine Muncey (Gould); his wife Kathryn A. Muncey; his son Edmond J. "Joey" Muncey; and his grandson Eugene Muncey.

He is survived by : his sons, Merrill Muncey Jr. of Holden, Ricky Muncey (Dorothy) of Lincoln and Arthur Muncey (Mary Ellen) of Sidney; his grandchildren, AJ Muncey (Megan), Ashley Dow (Shawn), Matthew Muncey, Merrill Muncey III, Benjamin Muncey, Kelly Ryder, Dan (Beth Muncey), Mandy Jones and Bub Muncey; and his great grandchildren, Abbey, Angelou, Cole Muncey, Eben, Owen Ryder, Ella, Alexa Muncey, Copper, Cohen, Arwen Dow, Riley, James, Aiden Schramm and Dax Hogan.
