He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Robert Sheldon. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Strattan; his brothers, Merril Hinshaw (Janis) and Ronald Hinshaw (Linda) of Tipton Indiana; his children, Lindley Hinshaw (Diana) of Basin Wyoming, Martha Hinshaw Sheldon of Northern Ireland, Jenny Hinshaw (Daniel Rhinehart) of Rockville Maryland and Joel Hinshaw (Rachel Rousseau) of Freeport Maine; his grandchildren, Kyle Hinshaw (Caitlyn) of Sheridan Wyoming, Chris Sheldon of Inverness Scotland, Jess Sheldon, Sean Rhinehart (Grace Montgomery), Ryan Petherbridge of Portland Maine and Owen Petherbridge of Breckenridge Colorado; and his great grandchildren, Atley, Emerie and Saylor Hinshaw of Sheridan Wyoming.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Durham Friends Meeting January (532 Quaker Meeting House Rd, Durham, ME 04222).
