She was predeceased by: her parents, Perley R. Graham and Annie T. Graham (Kirlin); her husband James E. Cowan; and her foster brother Joseph Gilbert Bulley. She is survived by: her children, Peter (Sharon) of Fort Pierce, FL, Timothy (Marguerite) of Bangor, Barbara Youngs (Scott) of Orrington, Phillip (Candace) of Eddington, Mark (Kimberley) of Pulaski, NY and Richard (Dawn) of Bangor; and her cousin Evelyn Delong. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
