With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janalie Rose Kneeland of Canton, Maine, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosalie Heinricy and William Brannan; her stepfather Ralph Heinricy; her former husband Joseph H. L. Desjardins; and her husband John F. Kneeland.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Desjardins (Annette) and Phyllis Ouellette (Rene); and her grandchildren, Christopher Desjardins (Jill), Mariah Lee and Desiree Ouellette.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or your local animal shelter such as the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston, where her loyal companion Mocha was adopted.
