She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Bourhill and Betty Bourhill; her sister Carole Shadle; and her husband Allen E. Ackerson. She is survived by : her daughters, Susan Keeter (Ed) of Erie, PA and Tracey Ackerson Westin (Ken) of Woodland, ME; her grandsons, T. J. Guadagno of Denver, CO and Matthew Brown of Connor Township, ME.; her great grandchild Aiyanna Rossignol-Brown; her sister-in-law Nancy McKenna of Vernon, NJ; and her nieces and nephews, Robert McKenna (Valerie) of Sparta, NJ, Ryan McKenna of Vernon, NJ, Debbie Ross of Pequannock, NJ and Lori Liberty of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty's honor to Maine Veterans' Home – Caribou, or to Sparrowbush United Methodist Church (PO Box 596, Sparrowbush NY 12780) or a charity dear to the giver's heart.
