Eleanor V. Cushing Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2020, at the age of 94, Eleanor V. Cushing (Cliff Island, Maine), born in Portland, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Earl MacVane and Sophie MacVane; her husband Carleton Cushing; her brothers, Rufus and Robert; and her daughters, Sally Howard, Madelyn Cushing and Shirley Spiers. She was also cherished by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
May we be Blessed by the grace of our fairy Godmother, and Island postmaster, Eleanor MacVane Cushing, who delivered more to lives than just letters, but gave us precious parcels we could all again use in lives right now, each day, through wind, rain, sleet, snow, and global pandemic!
