Helen Koniares Cleaves Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2025, at the age of 93, Helen Koniares Cleaves of Cumberland Foreside, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Helen Koniares may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Koniares and Agnes Koniares; her siblings, Florence Collatos, Dorothy Goulter, George and John Koniares; and her son Harry Jay Cleaves.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Cleaves Devine (Robert E. Cleaves IV) of Falmouth; and her daughter-in-law Jane E. Batzell. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
