He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Hastey and Helena Hastey (Townsend); and his siblings, Cozine Bates of Symrna Mills, Charlene Taylor of East Millinocket and Elwin Hastey of Hodgdon.

He is survived by : his children, Cindy Hastey of Ellsworth, Darryl Hastey of Florida and Troy Hastey of New Limerick; his grandson Tucker Harrington of Ellsworth; and his brother Dale Hastey of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
