She is survived by: her husband James Higgins of Rockland; her children, Joan Higgins of Ellsworth and Mark Higgins (Allyson Sorenson) of Bangor; her grandchildren, Rebecca Prefontaine (Jessica), Jennifer Guildford (Dave Gow), Travis Higgins (Kyffin Dolliver), Jared Brown, Corey Brown, Danielle Carter, Hallee Sorenson, Madeline Tuite and Jessica Higgins; her great grandchildren, Carlos, Aaliyah, Levi Prefontaine and Abel Higgins; her sister Patricia Downing; and her sibling's children, Kathy Day, Judy Pullen and James Downing, Jr..
