He was predeceased by: his parents, Osmon N. Merrill and Eugenia W. Merrill; his wife Josephine Merrill; his siblings, Delmont Merrill (Betty) and Constance Wilson; his brothers-in-law, Jack Johnston, Wayne Astbury and Dale Astbury (Barbara); his nephews, Mark Astbury and Bruce Johnston; and his friend Ronnie Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Corinna Domagala (Thomas) and Todd Merrill (Kerryn); his grandchildren, Shaye Lee (Taylor), Mitchell Domagala, Griffin Merrill, Porter Merrill and Hadley Merrill; his sister Joyce Johnston; his siblings-in-law, Liz Senter, Thelma Astbury, John Senter and Lou Wilson; and his friends, Ed Hatch, John Bartosinski, Nat Fenton, Del Gaspar and Eastward Lanes Bowling Alley. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
