He was predeceased by: his parents, George J. Barker, Sr. and Eva Burns Barker; his wife Nancy; and his siblings, Earle, George and Jean.

He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Reed; his children, Bradford, Christopher and Susan Laughlin (Tim); his granddaughters, Emily and Colleen Laughlin; and his sister Olive.
