He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah A. Sutherland and Della A. Sutherland (Pierce); and his siblings, Thomas, John Sutherland, Virginia Desjardins and Evelyn Morin.
He is survived by: his wife Linda M. Sutherland of Fort Fairfield; and his children, David Sutherland (Carla) of Fort Fairfield, Eric Sutherland of Lewiston, John Sutherland of Fort Fairfield, Diane Sutherland of Fort Fairfield and Debbie Brown of Lewiston. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
