He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold F. Sr. Wakeling and Velma P. Wakeling (Hitchcock); and his siblings, Ralph J. "Jimmy", Frederick Wakeling, Joyce Landry, Gloria Wakeling and Hazel Giberson.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen F. Wakeling of Anderson, SC, Michelle I. Wakeling of Anderson, SC and Denise Burdette (Bill) of Iva, SC; and his grandchildren, Kristofer Wakeling of Bay City, MI, Jonathan Weaver of Anderson, SC, Cassidy Weaver of Anderson, SC, Meghan Kidd of Fayetteville, TN and Caleb Burdette of Iva, SC. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
