It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Wentworth Ashby of Fort Fairfield, Maine, who passed away on February 2, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Ashby and Fernette Ashby; his wife Betty Eugenia Ashby (Thurber); his stepmother Grace Ashby; and his brothers, James Ashby and Robert Ashby (Dale).
He is survived by : his children, Donald Ashby (Brenda) of Mapleton, ME, Cheryl Garris (Jason) of Bowie, MD and Donna Horton (Ken) of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Ryan Ashby (Katie Haughwout), Isaac Ashby (Bonnie), Brandon Horton (Sara), Jeffrey Garris (Kylie), Olivia Garris, Victoria Garris, Kassia Horton and Kendra Horton; his great grandchildren, Josiah Ashby, Molly Ashby, Brayden Horton, Bentley Horton and Harper Garris; his sister-in-law Dayle Ashby; and his cousins, Clarisse Finkel and Cathy Firth.
