He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Dostie and Gladys Dostie; and his siblings, Richard "Dicky" and Betsy. He is survived by : his mother-in-law Lorraine Burkett; his wife Alane; his children, David and Karen; his grandchildren, Cooper and Julia; and his siblings, Carol Ouellette, David (Penny), Raymond, Arthur and Cynthia Savage. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
