He is survived by: his mother Ruth Gardiner Jr. (Tisdale) of Hodgdon; his wife Rita Gardiner (Ryder) of Linneus; his sons, Dylan Gardiner of Rhode Island, Oisin and Finn Gardiner of Linneus; and his siblings, Evelyn Boettger of Germany, Bertrand Gardiner III of Charleston, RI, Gary Gardiner of Houlton, Susan Araujo of Rocky Springs, WY and Dean Gardiner of Hodgdon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
