He was predeceased by : his parents, Augustus Hood Sr. and Cora Hood (Goding); his wife Nellie; and his sister Janet Mitchell. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Amanda Fortier, Dakota Hood, Keith Ellis, Kyle Ellis, Curtis Brown III, Taylor Hood, Garret Leiter and Zackary Lavoie; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Hunter, Charlotte Fortier, Makenzie Ellis, Cayden Bronish and Hadley Tozier; his brothers, Augustus Hood, Jr. of Turner, Philip Hood of Leeds and Richard Hood (Pat) of Griffin, GA; and his brother-in-law Burton Mitchell of Leeds. He is also survived by daughters, "his little angels" Sheri Hood and companion Vern Keene of Jay; Kimberly Ellis and husband Dean of Canton; Coralee Hood and fiancé Bill Lavoie of Leeds; and Rebecca Albert and husband, Leo Albert, Jr. of Oxford, his cat.
