He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonso Whitney and Laura Newcomb Whitney; his wife JoAnn Shaw Whitney; and his son Harold Whitney. He is survived by: his siblings, Nellie W. Campbell, Stanley Whitney of Florida and Warren Whitney Sr. of Florida; and his daughters, Bonnie W. Dyro (Dennis) of Gray, Julie W. Busler (Jerry) of Florida, Jolyn M. Whitney (Ed Fogg) of Lewiston and Alice W. Crawford (Dan). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
