He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Mathieu and Yvonne Mathieu (Morin); and his former wife Laurette (Lauze). He is survived by: his daughter Donna Morin (Gerry Chenard) of Lewiston; his brother Robert Mathieu (Cecile) of Lewiston; his stepsons, Donald Legare (Rachel) of Auburn, Richard Legare (Denise) of Lewiston and Gerry Legare (Becky) of Lewiston; his grandchildren, Derek Morin (Michelle) of Catonsville, MD, Kristen Marcella (James) of East Bridgewater, MA, Heather (Brian) of Hainesport, NJ and Jason White of Eastampton, NJ; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Meadow Major, Lauren and Jake Marcella; his wife Bertha (Legare); his daughter Patricia White; his sons-in-law, Michael White and Ron Morin; and his sisters, Anita Gosselin, Jeannette Laflamme and Lucille Bergeron.
