He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile E. Elie and Rosetta Callahan Elie; and his sister Rolande Coombs (Francis). He is survived by: his wife Glenna Audet Elie; his sister Joan Thompson (Jim); and his children, Mark (Roxane), Gary (Aline) and Debbie Bourgoin (Lenny). He is also survived by Nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
