She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Philip Melanson and Beryl Melanson (Jordan); her children, Jeffrey (Susan Thurlow), Donald, Ronald Couture and JoDee (Jeff Brannen); her pet Midnight; and her husband Arthur Thurlow. She was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
