He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph M. Sr. Groomes and Evelyn A. Groomes (Rich); and his sister Gail Groomes. He is survived by : his son Joseph J. Groomes (Rebecca) of Livermore Falls; his grandsons, Jonathan Groomes, Thomas Hebert and Miles Hebert; and his siblings, Lucille Groomes of Exeter, NH., Mark Groomes (Monica Brewer) of Nebraska and Stephen Groomes (Cindy) of Livermore Falls. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
