He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Staples and Ruth Staples (James); and his siblings, LeRoy Staples, Roberta Chandler, Deborah Hutchinson, Bethany Henderson and Patricia Hutchinson.
He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl Smith of North Jay; his daughters, Jessie Staples (Michelle Chartier) of Topsham and Sheila Walker (Jay Walker) of Orlando, FL; his siblings, Gary Staples, Joanne Estes of Lewiston and Lorna Burnham of Starks; and his nephew Ron York (Shirley York) of North Jay. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
