He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bernard and Hilda Bernard (Clapprood) of Oakland; his son Kevin G. Bernard; his wife Dorothy; and his sister-in-law Glenna Bernard.
He is survived by: his brother Robert H. Bernard of Gorham; and his siblings-in-law, Ernestine and David Cole of Bangor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
