He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Wheeler and Shirley Wheeler (Welch); and his brother Rick Wheeler. He is survived by: his sons, Dean "DJ" Wheeler Jr. (Ashley) of West Columbia and Travis Wheeler of Portland; his siblings, Rhonda Shackley (Bill) of Falmouth, Brenda Head (Randy) of Buxton, Debbie Roland (Ed) of Harrison, Trudi Perreault (Todd) of Bridgton, Bryant Wheeler of Buxton and Ted Wheeler (Melissa) of Harrison; and his grandchildren, Makenzi, Kayden, Kameron and Karson Wheeler of West Columbia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
