He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Clark and Frances Staples (Hall); and his brothers, David and Clarke Staples. He is survived by: his wife Judith Staples (Hayes); his children, Deborah Staples Ferrara (Jim) of Rangeley, Jennifer Staples LeClair (Robert) of Key West and Jay Staples (John B.); his sister Anne Staples Dixon of Essex, CT; and his daughters, Tracie Staples Thomas (Dan) and Kendall Staples. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.
