He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. John W. Hyssong and Mary E. Leech Hyssong; his wife Carolee M. Hyssong; his siblings, Mary Cook and John W. Hyssong, Jr.; and his son-in-law Steven Hatfield.
He is survived by: his children, Carolee H. Hatfield and Rev. Dell R. Hyssong, Jr. (Susan). He is also survived by three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; two nieces and four nephews.
