It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Scammon Dyer (Saco, Maine), who passed away on May 11, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Sr. of Saco and Harley Scammon, Sr. of Saco; her husband Laurence H. Dyer; and her daughter Pamela Dyer. She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Scammon Ilsley of North Carolina, Ann Scammon Grant of Scarborough and Harley Scammon, Jr. of Saco; and her daughters, Gail Dyer of Gardiner and Susan Dyer Cole (Bruce) of North Bridgton. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
