He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard and Theresa Gaines Sr.; and his brothers, Dennis and Douglas Gaines. He is survived by: his brothers, Bernard Gaines Jr. (Susan) of Saco, Bruce Gaines of Derbyshire and England. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
