He was predeceased by: his wife Bridget Sawyer; and his sister Barbara Novell. He is survived by: his sons, Morgan Sawyer of California, Matthew Sawyer (Susan) of Ohio and Marc Sawyer (Patricia) of Ohio. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a longtime companion.
