She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Starrett Pierce and Lillian Pratt Pierce; her husband Roland Oakes; her daughter Mary Oakes; her son-in-law Norman Tripp; and her children, William Oakes (Katherleen) of Florida and Barbara Tripp of Dayton. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
