He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Harmon and Lilian Harmon (Lineoln); and his children, Darren Townsend, David Townsend Jr., Donner Vicari, Deeanne Townsend and Dorothy Townsend.

He is survived by: his significant other Suzanne Barriault (Lamirande); and his daughters, Debbie Stockwell of Biddeford, Diane Wildes of Saco, Doreen Townsend of Biddeford and Darlene Ireland of Parsonsfield. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
