He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Christine Ward, Alan Peter Matthews, Clyde Ward and Leonard John Melton. He is survived by : his parents, Cathleen Melton (Leslie Tisdale) and Mark Matthews; his fiancé Chandler Breton; his stepmother Fran Prentice; his siblings, Zach Matthews (Alicia Dutremble), Jordan Matthews (Naomi Gariepy), Logan Matthews (Elie Leonard), Crystal Palmisano and Tasha Dube (David Bouffard); his parents-in-law, Nancy Johnson and Bryan Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Kelsey Nelson, Jannik Nelson and Jack Breton. He is also survived by many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Due to the global pandemic we are all facing, they had to postpone their July, 11 2020 wedding because it was so important to him to have their families by their side.
