She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Lohmann and Thelma Lohmann; and her sisters, Thelma and Joan. She is survived by: her husband Charles Sims of South Portland; her children, Wendy Sims-Jackson (Clint) of Bridgton and Bill Sims of South Portland; her grandchildren, Jackson and Ciara (Milton); her brother Ronald Lohmann; and her great grandchild Alaya. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
