Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Fox of South Portland, Maine, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away at the age of 70, on September 16, 2020. He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Francis H. and Catharine Cahill Fox. He is survived by : his wife Mary Fox (Seidel) of Portland; his children, Patrick Fox (Karen) of Saco and Sarah Cain (John) of Portsmouth, RI; his siblings, Francis Fox (Jean) of South Portland, Catharine Fox and Liz Fox (Wally Gold) of Edgartown, MA; and his granddaughters, Abigail and Rachael Fox of Saco. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Jack's memory may consider a donation to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in appreciation of the care that the wonderful staff gave to Jack and the comfort they provide to so many families, or to a charity administered by the Portland Fire Department, which has always held a special place in the Fox family's hearts.
