He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herbert Maddox and Elizabeth Maddox (Emery); his wife Kay Maddox of Springvale; his children, Cindy Pike (Gary) of Springvale and Richard Maddox (Debbie) of Sanford; his grandchildren, Kelley Smith, Randy Pike, Jeremy Maddox and Cory Maddox; and his sisters, Gloria Sawyer and Thelma Murray. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Rd., Scarborough, ME 04074.
