She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Murphy and Gladys Knowlton Murphy; her husband George Clayton Staples; her daughters, Carolyn Chapman and Elaine Seibold; her son-in-law Eugene Goss; and her siblings, Clifford, Clarence 'Sonny' and Verona Murphy Cummings.
She is survived by: her daughter Marie Goss of Spruce Head; her sons-in-law, Sam Chapman of Waldoboro and Al Seibold of Santa Rosa, CA; her grandchildren, Christopher Goss of Stratham, NH, Dawn Goss Borden (Ted) of Sherborn, MA, Eric Seibold (Holly) of Santa Rosa, CA, Jeremy Seibold (Effie) of Boulder, CO, Jason Chapman (Laurie) of Washington and Andy Chapman (Vanessa) of Waldoboro; and her great grandchildren, Meredith, Amanda Borden of Sherborn, MA, Shaylynn, Reese, Rowdy Seibold of Santa Rosa, CA, Atticus, Knox Seibold of Boulder, CO, Cole, Kyleigh Chapman of Washington, Keenan, Mason and Ainsley Chapman of Waldoboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
