With solemn reverence, we commemorate Janice P. Shute of Stockton Springs, Maine, whose life came to an end on July 24, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erlon Payson (Bud) and Louise Payson; her husband Melvin Shute of Stockton Springs; her siblings, Jimmy, Burton, Delma Paul and Sharon Perry; and her siblings-in-law, Raymond Paul, Frank Costigan, Joe Costigan, Rusty Russell, Minnie Payson, Virginia Costigan and Lillian Russell.
She is survived by: her sons, Trent (Sandy) of Rome, ME and Darren (Penni) of Stockton Springs, ME; her granddaughter Holly Weymouth (Ryan) of Stockton Springs; her great grandchildren, Cody, Zoey and Katy; her grandson Justin (Megan) of Belfast; her great grandchildren, Jaiden, Averie and Brooklyn; her granddaughter Megan Bullock (Seth) of Brunswick; her great grandchildren, Finley and Alden; her grandson Brian Shute (Shannon) of Burlington, MA; her great grandchildren, Hailey and Nathan; her granddaughter Sarah (Courtney) of Waltham, MA; her great grandchildren, Bodhi and Sawyer; her grandson Tyler Greenlaw (Mary) of Stockton Springs, ME; her brother Darrell Payson (Ann) of Littleton, MA; and her siblings-in-law, Fran Payson of Brewer, Maureen Larrabee, Carold Payson (Peggy) of Yarmouth, Lauren Payson of Belfast, Cherylene Labbe of Topsham, Cheryle Larrabee of Charlotte, NC, Dan Perry of Ghent, NY and Mary Jane Costigan of Stockton Springs. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stockton Springs Community Church (20 Church St, Stockton Springs, ME 04981). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stockton Springs Community Church Steeple Maintenance Fund at P.O. Box 391 Stockton Springs ME 04981.
