We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2021, at the age of 73, Gene H. Schanz of Temple, Maine passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene H. Schanz to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Horace H. Schanz and Lucile Schanz (Tuscan); his parents-in-law, Vilio and Bertha; his siblings-in-law, Dodie, Weikko and John; and his friend Gale Ellis.

He is survived by : his wife Jo-Ann; his children, Megan Cochran (Mark), Mike (Karen), Matt (Summer) and Brandon (Megan); his siblings, Betsy Grayboyes, Cindy Hinds, Susan Brackett (Doug), Lee (Cheryl), Timmy and Duane (Pamela); his siblings-in-law, Viki Hellgren, Terry Stetser and Toby Hellgren; his friend Ernie "Red" Watson; and his grandchildren, Dana, Brandon, Lylah, Cooper, Skye, Lil and Rowan. He is also survived by his parents and siblings, grandparents.
