He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Hoak and Eda Hoak (Waltz); his siblings, Sterling, Dorothy, Cora, Leon and Florence (Irene Ryan Hoak); his daughter Denise Hoak; and his significant other Clarice Guisani.
He is survived by: his children, Patrice Tripp (Richard), Clayton A. Hoak, Annette Roy, Sterling M. Hoak (Kate) and John M. Hoak; and his grandchildren, Christopher Tripp, Michael Tripp, Eric Hoak, Lindsay Trovarello (Hoak), Sarah Hoak and Jeff Hoak.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Clayton's name may be made to the Maine Veterans' Homes, Company C, 310 Cony Road, Augusta, Maine 04330 or to a charity of an individual's choice.
