He was predeceased by : his son Louis Turnbull, Jr.; and his grandson Nathan Turnbull. He is survived by : his spouse Geraldine White; his children, Cynthia Minder of Mascoutah and William Turnbull (Janice) of Dunedin, Florida; his sisters, Jean Politte of Sullivan, Marcy Miller of Sullivan and Annalea Siebenman of St. Louis, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Christina Turnbull, Sarah Harding (Jeff), Jennifer Pensoneau (Barry), Alexander Minder (Kristin), Emily Minder, Jamie Turnbull and Tristan Turnbull.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and will be received at the funeral home.
