He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Chapman and Helen Chapman (Peacock); his sister Geri Vermette; and his grandson Rodney Spear. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Chapman (Barton) of West Gardiner; his daughter Beth Kelley (Alan) of West Gardiner; and his siblings, Jean Cole (Norman) of Canada, David Chapman (Jane) of Gardiner and Steven Chapman (Carole) of Sidney. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care in Augusta, Maine or American Cancer Society in Topsham, Maine in memory of his Grandson, Rodney R. Spear.
