With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elinor McBrady MacCarthy of Windham, Maine, born in South Portland, Maine, who passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ruth McBrady and John McBrady; her aunt Elinor; her uncle Frank Whitten; her husband Edward Dyer MacCarthy, Jr.; her children, Edward Dyer MacCarthy III of John MacCarthy, M. D., Amy Bearce (MacCarthy), Rebecca Dolgin (MacCarthy) and Melissa Sims (MacCarthy); and her sister Elizabeth McBrady. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, the graveside ceremony will be limited to immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
