She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Young (Russell) and Cecil Young; her significant other Douglas Hanington; and her close friends, Sharon McCormack (Nelson McCormack) and Walt Richardson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Rusti (Edwin Knights Jr.), Suanne (Gary Lindsey) and Charity Hanington (Joey Cunningham) of Mattawamkeag; her brother Robert Young (Sheila) of Sherman; and her close friend Muriel Richardson of Wytopitlock. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 step grandchildren.
