With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce M. Thayer (York, Maine), who passed away on January 3, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Matthews and Viola Matthews (Chase); her brothers, Donny and George Matthews; and her daughter-in-law Lori Thayer.

She is survived by : her husband Myron "Buster" M. Thayer; her children, Deborah Hernandez (Sergio) of San Antonio, TX, Mark Thayer (Andi) of Beverly, MA, Scott Thayer of Reading, MA, Trevor Thayer (Ginny) of Kittery, ME and Glenn Thayer of Plymouth, MA; and her siblings, Russell Matthews, Marilyn Soule (Matthews) and John Matthews (Ginny). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
